Fabulous Site, Immaculately Clean and Welcoming

It was the first time that we have stayed at Salcombe Regis campsite and it certainly did not disappoint! On arrival the staff were expecting us, they were so friendly and welcoming, we were shown to our pitch straight away. The gentleman couldn’t of been more helpful, he was more than happy to answer all my questions about the local coastal paths etc. Our pitch was in ‘The Meadows’ area which was spotlessly clean everywhere, the toilet block there is brilliant, lovely and clean with individual shower rooms and toilet and sink rooms. The site is immaculate and its lovely to see a large green space in the middle so that children can play rather than filled up with pitches. There was a fish and chip van at the site on the Saturday night and a wonderful fired pizza van on the Sunday night, both very good value for money and great quality. The site is ideally located for coastal walks, we walked from the site into Sidmouth which is a beautiful walk, quite challenging with lots of steep hills and steps but so worth it for the views. We also walked the coastal path to the Donkey Sanctuary which was a great afternoon. Thank you we will definitely be back.

Just a night away

Been here before thought it was good so made a return trip. Even though it was very busy due to Sidmouth folk festival week.

We were not disappointed, this site is extremely well run and has made improvements to facilities with more in the pipeline.

Will return hopefully for longer stay.

Fabulous Site

The most idyllic site for some relaxation and recharging. Wonderful location with many coastal paths nearby, a short walk from the donkey sanctuary and Sidmouth, an hourly mini bus into Sidmouth which is great if you don’t fancy walking, freshly baked croissants every morning and a fish and chip van Sunday night. Plenty of space for the children to play safely and a small on site shop which sells the essentials. Friendly, knowledgeable staff made my stay complete….thank you I hope to return very soon.

Beautiful campsite. Perfect for everyone.

I used to stay here as a kid with my brothers and sisters about 20 years ago. It was as I remebered, a very family friendly campsite. Very friendly and helpful staff. The grounds are very clean and well looked after. The shower and toilet facilites are kept clean and there is plenty to do to keep the kids entertained such as a play park. A golf putting green. Big fields for ball games. I enjoyed the stay here with my family and will be coming back. Thank you for a lovely weekend!!!More

We have just returned from a lovely break at this caravan site. We had a very warm welcome from the owners and the site was immaculately presented. The facilities were clean and everything you need. The children loved the football pitch and there was even space for us to have a game of rounders. We would definitely recommend staying here. More

Week camping in our Montana 6 during half term break. What a find this site is. Beautifully maintained site, the groundsman was constantly working to keep everywhere looking perfect.

Camping plus notes: flat pitch, allocated pitch area, large space, room for car, water every second pitch, electricity very accessible.

Facilities: regularly cleaned and never any problems. We were in the Salcombe Meadow and probably the furthest pitch from the facilities but absolutely no problem for us at all. Plenty of showers and water always very hot. Pot wash is under cover with radio to keep you company. Play area available for the little ones. Shop well equipped with the option to order breakfast items and newspapers if you wish.

Noise: only a problem if you are unable to appreciate the chime of the church bells, the singing of the birds and the hee haw of the donkeys at the local sanctuary. For us it was pure bliss

Staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Very knowledgable of local area too.

There are a number of walks from the site into Sidmouth, Coastal Walks to beach and local donkey sanctuary. Be prepared for steep hills and breath taking scenery. If you can’t face the walk back there is a free hopper bus service available very frequently.

This is a little treasure of a site and I would highly recommend it. Definitely looking to return later in the year if possible.
