We have just returned from five fabulous days at Salcombe Regis Camping & Caravan site. Beautiful, well maintained grounds with a lovely feeling of open space, immaculate clean facilities, the fact that “Ralph” our dog was allowed in the static caravan made our break even better and there was even a dog walking area on site. Lots to see and do, we have returned home well rested and having had a really super time. Would thoroughly recommend and fully intend to revisit!
Many thanks to Mark & Sally for their hospitality.

We have visited the park 3 times of the past few months. The site is amazing. Staff really helpful and friendly. Lovely and quiet, wonderful surroundings. Our young children love it. Especially Mimi who can’t keep away from the park. Fantastic view from the bottom field. The washroom and toilets are always spotlessly clean. Just hoping that my parents get a permanent pitch so that we can come down throughout next summer. The other residents always seem to be really friendly and always offer help and advice. Great for children. The weather made it especially good. A big thanks has to go out to Steve as she made our daughters holiday by being driven around the site in the buggy! Can’t wait to return as soon as possible.
This site was fantastic. It was our 1st time camping and all the staff was very friendly and always willing to help. The campsite facilities were always clean and everything in working order. There was everything you could possibly need to make the whole experience easy and home from home.Very safe for all age groups and abilties. Always hot water for a shower no matter what time of day you had one, play area for the children and plenty of bins around the site for rubbish and recycling. We are so pleased with this site we are booking to go back again next year.
We have just had a fantastic week at this campsite even though the weather was changeable.
The caravan was spotlessly clean and well appointed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities were excellent.
It was great to be ale to take our dog and the dog walking field was brilliant. The site was very well kept and spacious with plenty of room for our boys to play frizby and rugby. Being mainly flat, the site was great for caravans, tents, and motor homes. The handy shop was selling fresh croissants and all essentials. The walk to the beach was an additional surprise as it was nearer than anticipated.
We checked out all the other local sites but this was by far the best and we will definitely be back.
Thanks to all the staff for making this a memorable and enjoyable holiday.

We have stayed here twice and we love it, both times in a static caravan. Staff are helpful and friendly the site is well maintained and clean, great location with lovely walks and close to Sidmouth with the added bonus of the free hopper bus service to and from Sidmouth, lots of space for the children to play in a safe environment.
My wife and I visited for 3 nights over August bank holiday weekend, although the 3rd night was forced upon us due to our motorhome breaking down. The staff on site went out if their way to accomodate us on the same pitch for that 3rd night, and we were very grateful to them.
The site is ideally situated within a 30-40 minute, downhill walk of the beautiful and unspoilt Sidmouth. You have the choice of taking the coastal path or road option. The views from the coastal path are spectacular. Taxi back is £10.
The site is child and adult friendly with a putting green, climbing frame and open grass play area to keep the children entertained. The toilet blocks are a bit tired but are clean and practical. The freshly baked croissants in the shop were delicious!
We had a very enjoyable stay and will definitely be returning.
Sadly all good things come to an end.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our many visits to Salcombe Regis campsite (SRC) this year but as the end of the season looms it’s almost time to put our little caravan to bed for the winter. In the sure and certain knowledge that it will be looked after over the winter by Mark, Sally, Steve & Glenys and those whose names I know not.
This has been our first experience of a caravan holiday year and we have been delighted with every aspect of SRC – even during the maelstrom that was Sidmouth Folk Week – the service levels did not falter.
If you, like we were, thinking of taking on a caravan take our advise. Appoint the best campsite in Devon to look after it for you. Simply arrive to your van set up and levelled – unpack and pop the kettle on. Or in our case open the sherry wine. It’s simply awesome (to use the young folks expression of choice!)
So much so, we have booked a cheeky long weekend in September before those pesky nights draw in once and for all. Roll on next season. SRC – five stars every time.
We stayed here for 2 nights over the bank holiday weekend. The campsites lovely, clean and tidy. The tents pitches are very spacious and the site wasn’t crowded. Shower and toilet block were always clean and tidy. The fresh croissants every morning were really appreciated, as to was the takeaway tea and coffee. Very dog friendly, which made a change as they’re not normally welcomed many places. A lovely walk from the campsite takes you to a quiet beach on the coastal path, which was great as it was the only beach we found that dogs were allowed on. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again soon.
We camped in July half term for two nights. Lovely quiet site. Grounds very tidy and well maintained. Showers clean and hot. Freshly baked croissants are sold in the small shop in the mornings but be quick as they sell out quickly! Loved Sidmouth…we used the free Hopper bus from the campsite to Sidmouth. Will definitely stay at this campsite again.
The last time we had camping this good we were in the Isle de re and the weather was hot hot hot! This time round the weather was good (for England) but the camp site was first class! Mark & Sally made us feel very welcome and I must say that the croissants and fresh coffee really added “un petit je ne sait quoi” to the holday feeling. You could do with a website refresh though 😉
