Fantastic number one campsite. We arrived with kids, dogs, one massively-keen-on-camping husband and one previously less-than-keen-on-camping wife but after four days at this site, the wife is converted and has found her number one holiday spot in the UK! The owners genuinely want you to enjoy your stay and will do everything in their power to help you with any problem. They are fantastic. The service is amazing, the pitches very generous in size, the toilet/shower block is thoroughly cleaned daily and not once did I think it was looking unclean. The showers are free, powerful and have endless hot water. I also never once had to wait to use the shower/loos as there are plenty. The dog walking area is amazing in that the paddock provided is super clean (poo bags and bins are everywhere in this area which is amazingly dog friendly), easy to access and secure with access gates at each end and leads on to lovely walks across footpaths and the fabulous donkey sanctuary tracks. Location is brilliant and for the first time ever we will definitely be returning to a campsite….this one! The other families were also lovely and it was just a great fun family site. Fabulous play area too in the centre of the site. It was also fantastic that rules are adhered to but not in an annoying way, just in a really polite way. The site genuinely went quiet at 10pm which was wonderful for those of us with young kids who need to get to sleep and we all slept well. It really was a five star site and location for visiting the other beautiful amazing attractions about was ideal.

“Great Caravan Park”
This is a top notch site in the South of England. We only stayed here for one night before catching the ferry from Plymouth, so we never really got the chance to explore the surrounding area. However, we did wander round to the donkey sanctuary next door and enjoyed watching the animals. The pitches are of a decent size, plenty of grass. Sanitary is very good. The owners have shown that they prefer quality to quantity. They could pack the central area with pitches, but choose to leave this for sports and a children’s play area. Well done to them. It was easy to book a pitch by telephone and the people in the reception made us feel welcome.
“Highly recommended”
A friendly well kept campsite with good facilities. There’s play area for kids and a large open field with goal posts for them to get rid of some energy. Dog friendly with a separate exercising area. Located about 1.5 miles from Sidmouth, it’s an easy and pleasant walk down Salcombe Hill into town, but a little more strenuous on the way home. Sidmouth is a lovely quaint town with a variety of shops and cafes to wander around. The Devon cream teas are a must!
The stunning scenery of the Jurassic coast path is within easy reach. There are plenty of footpath so it’s easy to plan circular walks form the campsite. The Donkey Sanctuary is also on your door step and has a nice café you can stop off at for refreshments on you way back.
“Beautifully maintained site and brilliant people”
Lovely location, easily accessing the coast path, east to Sidmouth or west to Branscombe. Free Hopper bus from the site a brilliant way to travel locally if you don’t fancy walking. Mark and everyone really helpful people, lots of great tips on what to do. As a van with electric hook up the view of the sea was, quite fantastically, our view, but all the pitches were great – and lots of room. Even if full there would still be lots of green space on this site, it’s not about squeezing in too many people. Beautifully maintained landscape and very clean and pretty toilet/shower/washing up block. Minimal lighting on and surrounding the site meant the night sky was amazing. A relaxing time in quintessentially English countryside. Thank you Salcombe Regis Camping Park!
